More RPGs coming to Xbox 360

Twisted | June 08, 2008 | News | XBOX 360 Company
It looks like Microsoft will be making plans to have more RPGs on the Xbox 360, by having an event called the "Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008" in Japan. The event will announce at least one RPG for the 360, and it will probably be Japan exclusive.
It looks like Microsoft will be furthering their plans to get a bigger share of the Japanese gaming market this month with an event in Japan called the Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008.

As you can guess by the event's name, the RPG Premiere will play host to the announcement of at least one new RPG title for the Xbox 360. This game will most likely be Japan-only, but it's also likely that the unannounced game will be seeing a release outside of Japan.

Updates on RPG titles already in development for the Xbox 360 are also expected to be announced.

The Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10. Keep checking back here for more updates.

I think this is a bad idea i mean yes its good but by announcing an event aimed at the japanese for RPG's i mean if i was japanese i would be annoyed, not every japanese gamer likes RPGs, perhaps the 360 would do better if they actually tried advertising the console more, adding japanese dialogue to their normal games and even releasing half of the western game library over there... the 360's game library in japan is poor because it only has japanese only releases and the odd shooter like halo and gears of war.

That just sounds like a throw away idea. Its like inviting your Chinese friends over to dinner and serving food from your local Chinese restaurant. Just throwing an RPG at Japanese gamers isn't going to make them jump for joy. They play a lot of different games than Americans do. Generally I would say its a start, but this sounds so weak and late in the game, that I don't see it making a difference.

True iLLmatic. But it certainly won't hurt. RPGs appeal to groups of gamers that don't have a lot to choose from. Giving them more choice would make the 360 something good to have if you're an RPG person.
