Elebits was made by Konami in Japan that had people using the Wii remote to play with cute characters. There has been talk of a sequel coming out for the Wii, and also there were rumors about a sequel for the DS. Now it has been announced that the sequel will be out on DS and will be available to buy on August 1st of this year. The price is roughly $29.99.

The game is called Eledees in Europe.

Elebits (or Eledees as it is known in Europe) was a Japanese launch game from Konami that won the hearts of many gamers around the world with its cute characters and addictive Wii Remote motion-controlled gameplay. Whilst not the most successful mainstream release from the developer, clearly it appears the company has faith in the brand name if a recent retailer listing is to be believed.

Could Elebits finally be coming to the Nintendo DS after many rumours? There have been many signs and hints that Elebits would be returning at some point in the future, with the finger pointing at Wii for a full-blown Elebits 2, as well as talk of a sequel perhaps hitting the Nintendo DS. Now it appears that the DS project may very well be more than just mere hearsay and actually be a real product that is due out as soon as 1st August this year (although that date surely has to be a placeholder). North American retailer Gamestop currently has the title down for pre-order under the name of ‘Elebits: Adventures of Kai & Zero’, with the genre set as ‘adventure’ and the price-tag being just $29.99 (roughly £15).
