The entertainment president of Microsoft has denied rumors that there will be a blu-ray Xbox 360 announced today. There were internet rumors going around that it would be announced to try and beat Apple by saying that it would be released by Christmas.

Microsoft's president of entertainment and devices, Robbie Bach, has debunked internet rumours that the company will announce a Blu-ray equipped Xbox 360 later on today.

Speculation mounted over the weekend that Microsoft was planning to upstage Apple at its Worldwide Developers Conference later on today by confirming that the 360 would see Blu-ray by Christmas.

However, when asked by the San Francisco Chronicle whether the next generation Xbox would have Blu-ray, Bach responded: "No. There is nothing to even talk about right now with regard to the next generation. That is so far out that there isn't anything to talk about."

Of course, Bach could have chosen his words wisely, as he doesn't say this Xbox generation won't support Blu-ray. He does add, though: "Our plan continues to focus on high-definition experiences.

"Xbox 360 has a great ability to deliver those through the Xbox Live (online download) service. It's a great way to get the high-definition concept because it's right there. There's no additional media. There is nothing you need to purchase."

How so? SE has already told the fans that a Remake will happen when they get the time and the staff of the original not busy. MS has yet to say publicly when or if its going to happen. Since they've stated plenty of times before that they're more focused on Downloads of movies(sorry forgot the name atm, the heat is bothering my memory).

Who said I was demonizing any corporation? I'm simply making a statement based off of gaming news that's been submitted to GameGrep within the past few months. You're trying to read into something and extract a meaning that isn't there.

I like how he never actually said, "The Xbox 360 will never have Blu-Ray!" He just said nothing about Blu-Ray will be announced today. Hmmm.

I do hope they will have Blu-Ray in the next Xbox Generation though. Whether the Microsoft President feels uncomfortable talking about it or not. Lol.

Yeah, companies never make 100% commitments, or it makes them look like fagots.
