WTF!! Why him? What about Lidstrom or one of the Penguins top Defensemen? I mean they were spectacular in the post season especially Redwings defensemen Lidstrom and Kronwall.

No offense to Dion Phaneuf but there was better choices then him.

Thats the most idiotic thing I ever heard of, Especially since Staal wasn't Canadian when he was picked for the NHL08 cover boy. Neither was Alexander Ovechkin for the NHL07 cover boy.

That really is the most *bleep*ed thing I've ever heard.

      Edit: Excuse me, seen.

Fatal you have no idea what your talking about.
Its not really *bleep*ed up, since My last name is Irish and yet im not from Ireland, but from New York,US.

Phaneuf is Canadian name. If you honestly never heard anything used that comparison before, you really need to get out more.

I'm actually talking more about how your entire argument is *bleep*ed. See, you really don't know what you're talking about. Why this is funny: you first say Staal isn't Canadian (and he clearly is) and then defend yourself by saying "OH I MEANT HIS NAME DOESN'T SOUND 'CANADIANISH'". Really, GG on that one because any basic idiot simply couldn't do it.

From what I have heard, Lidstrom was asked a few years back and declined. Obviously they aren't going to ask again. Also, I think Phaneuf is better on the cover than Kronwall. I think he is a bit better hitter, better defensmen, more well known as a #1 D, and he is also brilliant offensively. EA is really giving us more defensive controls and improved the hitting engine. A young hard hitting defensmen is really a no-brainer.

I don't like the choice but If lidstrom decline the last time, not much you can do.

Fatal you obviously still have no clue what your talking about. Or honestly don't know what im talking about. Fact is people use these type of comparisons before, thats the point. Whether you find it good or not isn't the point. Fact is I used a perfect example above you clearly didn't grasp it.

Fact of the matter is that you're *bleep*. You don't even know what you were talking about for crying out loud.

"Especially since Staal wasn't Canadian when he was picked for the NHL08 cover boy"
        -Staal is Canadian
"I meant his name doesn't sound Canadianish"

        Yeah, you're a complete moron.
