With more news out of the Microsoft RPG Premiere 2008 in Japan, the Unreal Engine-powered The Last Remnant, published and developed by Square Enix, was announced to be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 3 version following at a later date. The game was originally touted to be the first multiplatform worldwide release for Square Enix.

The game features two main characters, one of whom, Rush Sykes, is geared to the Japanese, while the other, The Conqueror, is geared to the West. The game will release worldwide, or close to it, with Japan and North America near-guaranteed to see it, with a European release following shortly.

You can check out the latest trailer for the game here. An English version of the trailer will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. More screenshots can be found here. The game will release worldwide this winter.

Awww... well, at least it will still be coming out on both. I plan on getting it for the PS3 (when I finally get one XD)

The game looks great though. I'm really looking forward to this.
