The Nintendo DS has already seen numerous crossword games appear on the system, from the New York Times Crossword to Deep Silver / Koch Media’s effort, The Sun Crossword Challenge and even Nintendo’s own CrossworDS, which has only recently launched across North America (but has yet to be confirmed for Europe). Now yet another puzzling effort has been released on the popular touch-screen DS portable, this time from USA Today.

Considering how Mercury Games is the developer of this new title ‘USA Today Crossword Challenge’, just as it was with ‘The Sun Crossword Challenge’, it certainly looks like this is a North American localisation of the game the United Kingdom received a couple of months back, on 18th April (and performed considerably well, making quite an impact on the UK’s Nintendo DS Top 30 sales chart, according to Chart Track UK.
