There was an on-going rumour about a possible demo of Final Fantasy XIII at E3 2008 (this year's), but Square has already announced there will be nothing of the sorts. Final Fantasy news are made of this most of the time: rumours.

Final Fantasy XIII has a TBA date of released, but we can guess it can be in the early 2009.

This was sort of expected, however just for confirmation, Square Enix North America's PR Department debunked the on going rumour that we would be seeing a demo at this year's E3.

"We have no plans whatsoever to intro a playable demo or any demo at E3 on the FFXIII project."

Oh *bleep* you Square Enix. Last year at E3 and TGS you didn't release the trailers that people were begging for, now you're doing it again this year with a demo. I don't know about anyone else, but this secretive bullshit is annoying.

It sure is GG, it sure is...

They always do this though, so it was kind of expected. Nonetheless this annoys the *bleep* out of me.

Would you guys rather they release loads of information and reveal everything, that's the mistake they made for FFXII and it seems there trying to avoid a similar incident here by keeping the game quiet

I'd rather they release some information. It's been 2 years(?) since FFXIII was announced and all we know is Lightning's name and a blonde guy's shoe size. A few trailers and new screens wouldn't hurt. They don't have to whore the game like they did with FFXII's marketing, but they could release something to keep fans interested.

GG They don't want the hype the game up. After FF12 flop I can understand why they're not releasing much. Its probably not even up to their standards to release it.

What would you rather have a shitty quality pics and Demo? Or would you rather wait until 4 months left before its release and them showing some mindblowing quality of pics and vids?

Sorry but i take the latter anyday. There's no need for them to show alot off yet, especially since it may not be up to their standards. You have no idea whats going on there, they're not doing this to piss everyone off.

Well you and many others have no problem talking about the game, So in retrospect they're keeping people interested.

Which it likely will. So far FF13 is a phantom. I'm not even paying attention to it until we've got a general release window.
