Turok movie announced, US actor to play lead

chautemoc | June 11, 2008 | News | Misc
A live action movie based on the Turok franchise has been announced, by its star, apparently - US Native American actor Adam Beach. Beach is little known, but has acted in television shows like Moose TV, Bottoms Up and Skinwalker, as well as the war film Flags of our Fathers. The good news is he's passionate about the role. The film, he estimates, will arrive in theaters in roughly two years.
Beach, who is of Saulteaux decent, calls the opportunity to play a Native America superhero “a dream.”

“He’s the first Native American superhero that I ever looked up to,” he said. “He basically [comes from] a family where they’re protecting our universe from an alternate universe that wants to take it over. He uses his wits, and his might, and his special bow and arrow to take over the world.”
