After reviewing 1,347 games of Unreal Tournament 2004, researchers have found that the red team may have a psychological advantage over the blue team.

Neuroscientist Mihai Moldovan of the University of Copenhagen in Denmark said the reason was most likely that the color red may act as a psychological distractor for men, possibly because men flush and turn red when they're angry.

I've always thought this too. Red is more intimidating which might make some Blue players hesitate slightly. Also been on Red makes you feel more powerful for some reason.

I find it easier to snipe blue people for some reason too.

LIke even when I just randomly no scope I get more blues than reds.

Well then other colors should be used, like purple and green.

Red is a more powerful colour than blue. Blue has a light , friendly type of look too it Red on the other hand has a deep (dark-ish) feel to it.
No scopes can be caused because blue stands out more?
If Purple and green are used then it could be the same way?

Yeah that's true. I think a better idea would be to have the person always be blue from their point of view and any enemies are red. I forget what game this was in but I've seen it somewhere, both teams are blue to themselves and the other team is red. You would just name the teams by numbers since technically you are both red and blue depending on who's screen you are looking at.

They usually show the red team dominating the blue, too. On X-Play, for example, when T-Squared gives his tips on Halo 3, the videos that follow show a red Spartan taking out a blue...in all of them. And in TF2's videos, the reds are introduced.

    Meh, I prefer blue.
