seriously, this game is probobly the best game i've played in a long time, the cutscenes are epic, the storyline is great, comic relief (i'm yet to get to the point where ottocon talks about blu-ray, just got into england)
the limited edition is pretty cool, the extra CD comes with 16 tracks i ripped to my PS3 so i can listen to MGS4 via in-game XMB. the box for it is pretty damn epic too.

    I'm not surprised.

I started playing today and haven't stopped. Easily the best game on PS3, and best game i have played in a long time.

MGS4 is definitely GOTY for me.

Is it normal for limited editions to outsell regular? Looks pretty impressive to me.

Kinda defeats the purpose of it being limited if there are more copies of it sold than the standard edition, though it is all good.

No it doesn't, People flock to buy them BECAUSE they are limited, Once the LE copies reach the end of their stock, thats it, Gone. However the standard ones will continue to outsell after that so it'll all even out

Tell that to every game that has released a "limited" edition in the last 5 years, i mean Resident Evil 4 LE was still on the shelves to this day, brand new and it has in most cases replaced the normal edition outright, MGS2 Subsistance LE was also not limited, as have been pretty much every other limited edition version...

Doesn't stop them from being limited now though does it? No matter how many copies go around the shops theres always a finite amount of them while the standard copies are churned out moreso.

Easily the best game I have played in a very long time. Easily. I know its still fresh in my mind and I haven't finished it yet, but right now I feel comfortable saying this is my favorite game ever, and I have played videogames since Intellivision. I can't think of a single sentence to truly describe all that is Metal Gear Solid 4.

At least it delivered on its hype, unlike another specific PS3 exclusive...

    I'm shocked I haven't bought it yet.

    GTA4 wasn't exclusive. ZIIIING

MGS4 deserves every praise it gets. It doesn't live up to the hype... it surpasses it in every possible way.
    Well done Hideo.

I believe Red 9 was talking Haze.

MGS 4 is a really amazing game, it's quickly becoming my fave of all time alongside Metal Gear Solid.

With all this good talk about MGS4, maybe GTA4 was the wrong investment...

Or you could get both, like me.

It's currently benching GTA IV on my system, which is an achievement in itself.

Actually its not a bad investment. Unless your the type of GTA player who wants to play with unrealistic gameplay and boring, massive amount of sidequests and easy to rampage and carnage. Other than that GTA4 is still a great game.
