Lips is a new game that is pretty much like Singstar. There will be 30 songs you can sing along to, some of which are by well known people, while others are by lesser knowns. Sue me if I'm wrong, having never played Singstar, but it also brings some new features to the fold like being able to upload your own songs and sing along to them. Plus there will be downloadable songs, too.

30 songs:
The songs include a mix of popular songs like Madonna, and local songs specific to the United Kingdom.

2 Wireless Interactive Microphones:
Wireless mics are interactive, with lights on the shaft of the microphone that pulse to the rhythm of your voice, and motion sensors that allow you to dance, move or swing to score points.

Use your own music:
Take songs from CD or your iPod, and upload them into the game. The game will reduce the vocals so you can sing along and be heard, and score you on whether you’re in tune. Lyrics can also be added directly into the song to sing along.

Download songs:
Hundreds of music videos with lyrics are available online for a small fee, which you sing and be scored on.

I have the original Singstar game. It's a lot of fun but got old after a while. I'll have to check this version out to find something new.

Singstar was a terrible game. What makes anyone think this wont be exactly the same? If you want to sing, turn up your radio and rock out, don't pay to do so.

You could make up for the that with uploaded songs, so the number is pretty big when you think about it.

Hmm . . . I've always said Singstar should allow uploadable songs, and said that it'll happen sometime in the future. This game looks like it is just what I was talking about.

I may have to get this game, if for no other reason other than that feature . . . if done well! I pretty much hate all the popular songs/music/tunes out there, so my musical tastes are seldom seen especially in games. This is good news for me.
