looks like the Gamecube controller won't be an option, but I am happy that there are multiple ways to customize controls.

In The Conduit, our bad guys can hear and see, understand the use of cover, have variable levels of aggression, use grenades effectively, advance and retreat, and can determine when the player is susceptible to attack (i.e. reloading, exposed and moving in their firing cone).
Sounds very good. My excitement for this game just skyrocketed.

The first sentence of the actual interview has me most interested.

    quote
The Conduit is a first person adventure game that takes place on Earth in a fictional near future.
Wii FPS + Adventure game = must buy for bbb.

I'm really liking the look of this game

EDIT: Looks rather similar to Perfect Dark... which is my fav FPS of all time (shut up, I don't have an Xbox).

Agreed. I get a huge Perfect Dark vibe from this game (also my favorite FPS of all time)

Whoa, so its an adventure game? Most FPS games just linear and go by chapters or something, but this sounds more like Metroid Prime or something, and that sounds f'ing awesome.

If we get some Perfect Dark and some Metroid Prime (one of my other fav games) all made into this one... plus wi-fi... you get the 'halo' of Wii (I use that term lightly cause I've never played Halo myself).

Hopefully the Wi-Fi mode will have Capture the Flag and stuff like that over huge terrain for example, not just 'grab the gun and shoot the absolute shit out your opponents'.

EDIT: And not be a total let down, like Red Steel.

The images...they seem to tell that the game graphics are awful.

Is this game from wii? LOL

Why would you ask that question, surely if you want to insult a Wii games graphics you should be comparing it to the N64, although to be honest graphics don't mean that much to me. Still this games sounds pretty good.

The Conduit is still very early in production, so naturally the screenshots DON'T represent the final product.

So a nice mix of Perfect Dark and Metroid Prime? Bloody fantastic stuff. They sure do seem confident about the game so far, so let's hope that this game delivers.

*Hopes that the Wi-Fi modes are solid*

I rather this game be more something of it's own not too much like PD or MP.
