Yep, it's been confirmed. Live Free or Die Hard (aka Die Hard 4) director Len Wiseman is set to direct the Gears of War movie we mentioned previously. Chris Morgon has been attached for the screenplay as well, who has written Cellular, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Wanted. Wiseman was also in charge of the Underworld movies. No timeline or release date is set for the film, which is actually kind of good to hear, as you'll see.

New Line had initially aimed for a summer 2009 release for the pic, but further development on the project now will likely delay that plan.

"It's like with our games, you can have it right or have it right now," said Epic Games topper Mark Rein. "We want to get it right. There's no timetable for us. We just want to make as good a movie as we can, and we think (Wiseman's) the guy who will do it."

As long as it isn't Uwe Boll, I'll be good.

I don't think it can be PG-13 not if it actually stays true to the game i mean you cannot chainsaw kill a monster really with it being PG-13, not properly...

I think they can make it PG-13, I remeber the spider Man movies had people shot and it was PG-13.
