Mega Man 9 on the way?

After it's last release back in 1997 on the Playstaion and the SEGA Satrun, Mega Man may be returning for a ninth time. Though there has been no official word, some detective work uncovered that Capcom had submitted Mega Man 9 to be rated by the Australian Classification Board.

Hence our excitement when we noticed publisher/developer Capcom had submitted Mega Man 9 for rating with Australia's Classification Board and Classification Review Board. The organization acts like the Entertainment Software Ratings Board in the U.S. When a game shows up on one of these ratings lists, it's a pretty good indication it's on the way.

    360 exclusive? Bad move, make it multiplatform Capcom since your in the More money business and increasing fanbase

      Damn only on 360? That sucks.When I read the title I was thinking "cool this is my chance to get into Mega Man" (I played a few like 10 years ago). But if it's 360 only then so much for that

      No console has been said yet. The rating notice said no console, and IGN published the news story on their Wii and PS3 channels as well as the 360 channel.

        Oh well, Delexo only labeled it as a 360 thats the part I was questioning. But Thanks for telling me that.

        I hope it comes out on PS3.It'll be quite a long time before I get a Wii.Or maybe even DS, I'd buy it for DS.

    From what I gather (and what a few others have said) is that the 360 version is pretty much confirmed however I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it released on the Wii and the PS3.

    is megaman 9 new or something? i could have sworn there were like 57 megaman games already. how are they just now getting to 9?

    they should release it as an NES game. i'd buy it.

    The last "Megaman" game was subtitled 8, meaning that the offical Megaman series is at number 9. It doesn't include spin offs like MegamanX or the card battler things.
