Final Fantasy Versus XIII NOT on hold

It's no secret that Square Enix are working on a truck load of games at the moment... maybe more than they should be at one time. So fans were very happy to hear that Final Fantasy Versus XIII had been put on hold so that both teams could focus on FFXIII.

Well it looks like that was just a rumor and FFvsXIII hasn't been put on hold ...

Square Enix has rubbished suggestions that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is on hold.

"Reports that development for Final Fantasy Versus XIII is on hold are false," the publisher said in a statement passed on to Eurogamer.

"The truth of the situation is that when free, some staff from the Versus team have been helping with the XIII team on development of Final Fantasy XIII. Development for both titles is continuing as originally scheduled."

    Well either way makes sense to me really. I personally don't give two shits how they do it, just as long as the games are great.

    Tell you the truth I kinda wish it had been put on hold, better two games delivered faster and apart then longer and together

    At least this confirmed to us that the Versus staff are infact helping to develop XIII, albiet in their free time.

    The moral of this : XIII > Versus XIII

    Stupid move imo. They should halt one of the games to release one of the games quicker and spread out the release dates of the other. Tell me if this is good for SE and PS3 fans, having FF13 come out lets say late December then having Last Remnant come out 2 weeks after wards and having Versus come out 2 weeks after that?

    Now this is a hypothetical RD for FF13, but the 2 weeks thing is a possibility now, I don't like it. It needs to be spread out, and one needs to be out quicker. The PS3 has barely no RPG's which is selling point of the system and the system is in NEED of them quick. Not to mention fans are getting restless of the lack of RPG's on the system. This isn't good imo, and I hope maybe they will realize soon that maybe putting versus on hold is going to be better for them and the PS3.
