Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
13 hours 44 mins ago
Bad news for European MGS fans. It looks like the Metal Gear Solid Database is exclusive to the Japanese and North American Playstation Store.
For anyone unfamiliar with the database, it's a "free, downloadable interactive application that contains the official knowledge base of everything that is Metal Gear, reaching all the way back to the very beginning of the franchise."
... An odd choice, considering it's free.
So if you were looking forward to brushing up on your MGS knowledge, as well as learning some new things about the series, it looks like you'll have to get an American PSN account.
If you're European, and ran to your PS3 this morning, clawing like a madman for the Metal Gear database that Japan and the US got, you'll no doubt already be sitting in a puddle of your own anguish, wondering aloud why SCEE couldn't follow suit and make it part of this week's downloads. Which they didn't. No doubt it's got something to do with translating Kojima's tangled storyline into 17 languages. If you've bothered setting yourself up with an American (or Japanese, it has an english-language option) PSN account, you'll have to jump in and grab it from there.

" Misleading title is misleading. "
It may not be out now, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't come out soon. The article even gives a possible explanation in that it does take awhile to translation something into all of the languages used in Europe.
My question is, why can't it be released on the Europe PSN store for those of us who can speak English ? It seems unfair to hold it back just because the whole population can't " benefit ".
problem with that is, it doesnt recognise EU gamesaves
i cleared the game (twice) and it wont recognise it, so unless i try a US sav
