Criterion's Simon Phipps drools over Burnout Paradise Cagney update

Final Blade | June 23, 2008 | News | PC Playstation 3 Company
Simon Phipps has shown his love for the Cagney update. He's also said that Criterion is calling 2008 "The year of Paradise". Which goes in hand with the fact that they're trying to bring many new features of Downloaded content to Burnout Paradise to keep it fresh and exciting.

Aside from this Simon states that the site is also getting worked on with posting more and more info about the Dev's, as well as Audio and Video podcast which will help you get to know the developers and the Cagney update.

Oh and he also has noted that on a weekly basis they will be posting on the Playstation Blog to give us info on the Cagney update. Which is pretty good for Burnout Fans.
We're into our "Year of Paradise" 12 months where the Burnout Team keeps on developing exciting new stuff to expand and change Burnout Paradise (and in the process, we aim to radically change what everyone expects of downloadable content).

We've so far released our 1.1 update, and our second update, codenamed: "Bogart," packed with fixes and game-enhancing features.

Now, we're expecting our third FREE update codenamed: "Cagney" that's coming on 10th July (yes, that's FREE just put your Burnout Paradise disk into your PLAYSTATION 3 and it'll download automatically), and we're really excited about it as we count down to its release.

This is rather nice isn't it?

Considering all the nickel and diming people worry about, it is nice to see so much stuff for this game. At least some of the stuff is free, right? The updates are, right?

    I wish I had this game V_V

Besides the initial game itself costing $50+ all the DLC is free. According to them at least.

EDIT: Can someone please explain why I deserved a thumbs down for this? Its true, I've been keeping tabs on the updates and according to them all the DLC for BP are free.

That is really generous with it being free and stuff.
