PS3 And 360 Gamers Are Basically The Same

Experian Consumer Research has decided to study the similarities and differences between PS3 and 360 owners and "the results may be shocking for some".

It has long been held true that gamers from the Playstation and Xbox communities are a completely different species. You may agree or disagree (and I urge you to examine the forum posts to help you decide) but Experian Consumer Research has decided to put some hard facts on the table, and the results may be shocking for some.

The war will still rage between console gamers of all ages, and this study may supply ammunition or help heal old wounds.

    Interesting read, although some of my friends may have a 360 we don't attack each other over it. Its an opportunity for us to play each system. Its one of the many things I enjoy about gaming.

    I always imagined Xbox 360 owners as confident, yet smug, and PS3 owners as confident, yet ignorant. And Wii owners as reserved little kids, secretly plotting the worlds downfall.

          No, I dont remember any fanboys crying that Sony played foal and payed off Reviewers, that's mainly a ps3 fanboy trait.

          WII and 360 fanboys are similar in a way that they hold their games over Sony fanboys heads and hold XBL over both wii and ps3 fanboys.

          Slumpy, they are basically the same in the sense that they also like to talk out of their asses to be either funny or to discredit the system with no personal knowledge whatsoever...YES, they're the *bleep*ing same.

        what are you talking about? the whole point of owning all 3 is to be able to play all of the exclusives, seeing how each system has something different to offer.

        What?! Those who have all three can't play great exclusives? Why, are all the systems broken or something, because mine work perfectly fine!

        And it wouldn't be wasting your money if you get a lot of use out of what you bought, and you enjoy it.

          Im not talking about people who own all 3, I said people who own a 360(SLASH)PS3, WHICH MEANS EITHER NOT BOTH.

          I had thought about that, but didn't modify my post. But it still makes no sense, so if I have a PS3 and a Wii, I can't play great exclusives like MGS4? Even though I own the console it's on?

          And yes, I see the "mgs4 AND halo 3" but I also see "great exclusives LIKE" which nullifies any combo the word "and" may denote . . . just in case.

          You don't get it, If you own a 360 and Wii your not going to be able to play great games like MGS4 Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted.

          If you own a PS3 and Wii your not going to be able to play great games like Mass effect, Gears etc. Thats what Slumpy was saying.

          Wow, again with the thumbs down. Some people are just crazy about that. I don't bother unless it's actually a bad comment without a point, not just something I disagree with or something that challenges.

          Anyway, Yes I understand what both of you are saying, but that would be "You don't get to play ALL the exclusives" which is so obvious it goes without saying ("If you don't have a PS3, you don't get to play PS3 games!" Well of course I know that, if I want to play PS3 games I'll get a PS3)

          Slumpy also said you wasted your money if you have a PS3/360 and a Wii. How is it wasting money, you get the exclusives for the consoles you have. That's good, IMO! It just means you won't YET be able to play EVERY CONSOLE GAME. But it far from means you wasted your money, and it far from means the person is lacking/bad in any way. Either they can't afford it (no prob.) or they DON'T WANT that console/exclusive (again, no prob. it's their preference).

          Now in all that I've said, can someone say I haven't made a correct point, or have misread something? Because I'm reading the whole "Wasted money" and not finding anywhere it says "Can't play ALL exclusives." And I've addressed all that, have I not?

          In relation to the article, Gamers are Gamers despite what console they own. The console(s) they own simply show what game titles they want to play. Those who like all types of games, will have all consoles, and likewise the opposite for the other way around. Nothing wasted, nothing bad, if you use what you bought and enjoy it.

    Wait, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers are all human?! I never realised everyone was basically the same! Then again, religion hasn't worked that one out either yet...
