Clip-on skateboard shell being considered for EA's Skate It Wii

Word has it that EA is considering a skateboard shell for Skate It on the Nintendo Wii, in order to help players get the most out of the extreme sports simulator.

Rumour has it that Electronic Arts is considering shipping its upcoming Skate It for the Nintendo Wii with a skateboard-shaped peripheral that clips onto the Balance Board, in order to further immerse gamers into the experience.

    That could be one of the greatest things ever, or could kill the whole skateboard game concept. The way they do it is the whole thing to watch out for.

    It would suck compared to the analogue sticks in my opinion... If they're trying to simulate skateboarding with an actual skateboard, they'll fail miserably. Using analogue sticks to create a new and unique take on skateboarding game game-play was very good.
