John Smedley, President of Sony Online Entertainment, believes that MMO's have a strong future on the PS3. Through changing the structure of their development teams and working more closely with retailers we will be seeing MMO titles appearing on the PSN.

The PS3 already has an "online playerbase", while the PSN is "a significant and robust network " and there is "a real hunger" for MMOs, but concedes it will "take some time to build that base even larger."

Yeah yeah, we've been hearing about this for a while.

I AM interested....So long as the base package is free (to play online)....Something like the "Pay for premium services" perhaps...

I'm a little interested in Guild Wars....The game costs money, but playing it online doesn't (unless of course, you get the premium service)....

Ages ago, we heard about a free MMO that would have a "Pay for premium products" service, or something. It wouldn't cost any PS Store $'s. Haven't heard anything since though....

Yeah, But Free MMO's suck as it costs alot to maintain them and so hardly get updated, Unless they can get enough cash through in game advertisements.

And Guild War's online isnt really a "true" MMO, More like an RPG with online.

I've always loved the network/online aspect of the PS3. So while I've never played an MMO game before, I'd be interested in it, purely for the community aspect of it rather than the game itself . . . unless the game is simply absolutely awesome haha

Yeah, that'd be nice.....Though I doubt I'd get it, considering the $15/month subscription service >_>

I hate spending money on stuff like monthly fees (heck, I hate spending $70+ per new game as it is)....
