It actually looks kind of fun. I used to play Diablo 2 a lot back in the days... Well, it's worth checking out anyway.

With all the hints it isn't exactly a surprise. It'll be interesting to see how the plot is connected to the others

Blizzard doesn't set release dates that early. SC2 doesn't even have one yet.

Just a heads up, we just archived quite a bit of footage from the net onto neoseeker videos.

    http://videos.neoseeker.com/search.php?string=Diablo+III

Mainly because Blizzard is a bit of a pain about things and likes to pull footage from Youtube fast in the first breaking period.

If you've watched the gameplay it's still sticking to the Diablo roots, people did the same speculation on "World of Starcraft" even when the SCII footage was clearly RTS gameplay and magically it's still an RTS even today not an MMO.

The Blizzard Worldwide Invitational event can be streamed live online here: http://www.blizzard.com/wwi08/streams.xml

Complete with the schedule at the bottom.
There will be a D3 panel on Sunday near the end of the event.
Other highlights include the Starcraft, Warcraft and WoW tournaments. Video Games Live will be performing at the closing ceremony I believe.

That's pretty cool. Although, honestly, I'm a little disappointed that it's going to have nearly the same gameplay. I was really hoping for something "Oblivion-esque" instead of click till things are dead.

    It'll still probably be awesome.

They're actually complicating things a little bit, so it won't be standard click-click. It's going to be more fast paced, skill-oriented, and even have useable environments, which is a trip. I'm sure it'll be a little more detailed and in-depth this time. Probably still a lot of clicking though, haha.
