If KH3 goes to Wii, I would imagine quite a few fans would be pissed off. But at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if it was. The Wii is known for it's younger audience (i don't mean that in a bad way) and Squeenix might feel that KH3 would have more success on the Wii. Other games in the series have been on a Nintendo console (mind you, only spinoffs), so it wouldn't be totally out of the blue.
And that screen definitely looks KH-esque. (or RPG-esque anyways).

2) If this news about KH3 really is true, is it really that bad, as long as it keeps the same integrity that previous games had (or lack thereof, which I've yet to see)? It's not that big a deal to see the series on a new system, or else it would stay on the PS2 forever (which would obviously be a very stupid move in the long run).
I mean, the references still fit and as we know, the Zelda team hasn't been up to anything that we know of since the Phantom Hourglass.
Monster hunter was a big sony exclusive in japan No. 1 and 2 were on PS2 and then out of the blue no.3 was a Wii exclusive.
The FFXII games are an example of this - FFXII is on PS2, FFXII: RW is on DS, and Vagrant Story (a spinoff of sorts) is on PSone.
It's certainly not out of the question that Squeenix would suddenly switch their series to another console. They've done it in the past... so many times.
Heck, I'm pretty pissed off that Squeenix made Parasite Eve 1 and 2 for Playstation, while the 3rd one will be on Japan-only mobile phones. Talk about a kick in the gut, but it's just something that companies do.
But I just don't see why they can't have it on Wii, PS2, and PS3 since its entire fanbase in on the Playstation. Going to the Wii would almost be like starting over. No matter. I plan on getting a Wii sometime this year anyways.
Who knows, if this is true, and Brawl gets downloadable content...
The moment it comes from Nintendo itself or something worth mentioning, I'll give it some consideration.
This being said, I would love to see it on Wii, it could work quite well.
Let's hope its true.
1. KH, Numbered series, has ALWAYS been a Sony exclusive. That is obvious with KH1 and KH2.
2. Sony has stated themselves a month ago that they will be paying for games to stay Exclusives. Which pretty much lessing the amount of chance.
3. Nomura has stated previously that KH3 is the last of the series If I recall correctly after KH2 was finished. And putting it on the Wii is impossible cause they don't know the story or will understand it.
Now as for PS2, I find it laughable to suggest that it could possible be out for it when lets be honest KH3 won't be in development after FF13 and vFF13 since Nomura is very busy with those titles. By the time KH3 comes out it will be 2-3 years later the PS3 will be very cheap, PS2 would be dead. I find it funny that such rumors comes out, that doesn't even remotely look like a Keyblade. It lookes like some Zelda sword or King Arthur sword to be honest. And if knowing Nomura and Sony, they would want to keep this title on the PS3 knowing its PS2 fanbase wanting it, and SE always been for the graphics and movie for the games. It just seems odd they would move it when most of SE stated they love working on the PS3.
This isn't a rant, its more of things I have read and points I wanted to share over this article.

Again the thing is its not KH it shows no comparisons to KH. And I really don't think Sony is willing to lose KH as an PS exclusive to the Wii. Like I said before which you guys don't read, Sony said it themselves that they are going to start paying for games to be exclusive. Which means the same thing MS does with their games, Sony will do for theirs. So KH3 being on the Wii with those 3 points I gave as well as picture pretty much negates the rumors.
Ranting would imply I stated nothing that negates the article just random banter. When All I did was give a well thought out, and detailed reasons for WHY KH3 isn't going to be on the Wii, and why the article isn't talking about KH3 but another game entirely.
And who says the sword has to look like that? Sora could have a gun equipped in the next game, so go throw your goddamn defensive "view points that you wanted to share" elsewhere.
Still, the fanbase of the PS3 is small in comparison to the Wii's. Also seeing how Sony has decided to make the PS3 the REAL hardcore gaming device, which was so not the case with the two previous instalments, it has alienated a lot of the more casual and younger audience.
Therefore, the switch wouldn't be terribly unlikely. However, I suspect this has been in development for quite some time now, and by the time the platform was chosen, none of this was taken into account.
Still, I would be very happy if this did happen
KH3 is great too. Though KH is NOT a Sony exclusive!

My comments in this article went from -2 to +2 to -2 in just one day. Looks like there are a fair few *bleep*ing brybabies who can't accept the possibility that Kingdom Hearts 3 might go to Wii. I point out that it's a posibility and get thumbed down for it? Pfft, idiots.

What about DBZ games? They all came out for GC, Wii and PS2 (except for Saga's which isn't worth mentioning).Then for some reason they decided they wanted to give 360 the next one and forget about Wii.
Just because all of a series comes out on a specific console/s up to a point, doesn't mean the next games release for a given console is set in concrete.
Considering how much people love the Wii I wouldn't doubt for a second that there's a chance KH3 will come to Wii.
I'd also like to see some actual proof as to why you think the PS3 is going to have a dramatic price drop by the time of KHIII's release as well as gaining twice the fanbase that it curently has. None of these are facts, FB. You're pulling them out of mid-air.
You can't see any reasons as to why it would go to Wii? With the Wii's ever-growing popularity, cheap price and appeal to a younger more "general" audience, you really can't see any reasons as to why Squeenix would want to put the newest installation on the Wii?
Besides who says that Square Enix would let Sony buy exclusivity?
I don't see a problem with it going to the Wii really. As long as the game turned out fine.

Also, Nintendo confirmed in an earlier issue this year that The reason MOTHER 3 was never released in US was because they Wouldn't have enough time to translate everything, stick it in a GBA Game, and Release it before the GBA Died out.
That would be cool. It's funny, because, I love the Zelda games so much, but I've never even beaten one. The closest I got was with the Twilight Princess game, but I'd say I only got about 75% through that one. I even used a guide! :shame:
I'm guessing the games mostly end with him saving Zelda, though, so I'm probably not missing too much.
