Fans have been up in arms since the release of Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for good reason. The full priced title did little to add the the gameplay of the original and charged gamers full price for what was effectively nothing more than an expansion. to address this Ubisoft have released an actual expansion for free, but is it too little too late?

One of the most disappointing releases of the year has to have been Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Fans has rightfully blasted Ubisoft for releasing a game that was nothing more than an expansion of the original title. It it were half the price the fans may have accepted it, but with very few new gameplay innovations and ported maps from the original Rainbow Six, most gamers just felt ripped off. Sales have reflected this, turning the much loved franchise into a turkey.

Such a shame to see all this wasted talent.

I loved R6V with all my heart, because it rocked. I don't know if Ubi thought they could rest on their past achievements, or if they just didn't leave enough time between the two games in order to develop new features, but whatever caused it, they certainly dropped the soap big time.

The best thing I can see them doing is lying low for between 18-24 months, and then pulling out a huge title from no where, with a different concept, and blowing everyone away. The "Vegas" idea only had legs for one game, and maybe an expansion, they just got greedy and lazy.
