Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
15 hours 52 mins ago
Nintendo love to let us know just how great the Wii is for girls. But are they really just setting a trap for poor, unsuspecting male gamers, lulling them into a false reality where their girlfriends will love to play too?
There has been a new commerical on Australian TV showing four dazzlingly white toothed, good looking 'Friends' completely immersed in the new Wii game Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Slightly out of focus in back of shot a girl player looks to be having a better time than Meg Ryan at a coffee shop with Tom Hanks. I realise that Nintendo believe they are a girl friendly console, but are we really expected to believe that your girlfriend or sister (hopefully they are different people) is going to get into Smash Bros?

Er... yes? Believe it or not, alot of girls actually play games now. why does that seem to be such a hard concept to grasp for some people >_>
Brawl pretty much appeals to everyone though, no reason why girls can't play it too.
Only differnce is chest size and weather you have a bulge down there or not .____.
Let us depart from the realm of Nintendo and casual gaming for a moment...
I have a 360. There is an entire community on LIVE for female gamers (and it consists of hundreds if not thousands of members). On Team Fortress 2, I've heard countless female voices. If any stereotype is true, it's that ladies generally don't like opening their mouths on Ventrilo, LIVE, etc. because we've had to deal with a range of sexist behavior.
Maybe this guy is just frustrated by the possibility that women may be avoiding him because he's a misinformed ignoramus. No, Smash Brothers isn't really for girls -- IT'S FOR GAMERS.
The article is not about dissing girl gamers, nor saying that they shouldn't play. It's just an observation based on experience. Take 1 non-gaming girl, add a controller and almost always you will find there is pretty minimal interest. It would be the same if my girlfriend took me shopping for shoes. It's not sexist, it's just that most girls don't game and every time I get suckered by another commercial into thinking I can spend quality time with my honeypie in front of a game, I feel a little sadness, because it always ends in zero interest. True girl gamers should be a protected specie. Having been around the forums for a while you get to see why they would not want to speak up or get to involved. Apart from this site the gaming world is full of infantile, slobbering perves.
Anyway, thanks again and I hope you see the article for what it is - a tongue in cheek poke at Nintendo for my 5th consecutive unseccessful attempt at getting my girlfriend into gaming!

Just my experiences.
Your logic can be applied to anyone who has no interest in games, which is not an exclusively female nor male group; also by your logic, I should think that guys don't enjoy shooters and driving games because of a few people I hang with. Neither your personal experiences nor mine should dictate our views on an GLOBAL community.
