Is there no decency in this world anymore?

Pedophiles have been using World Of Warcraft to meet underage girls usually half their age.

Not to say that gaming chicks are stupid or easy, but honestly they should be able to see through these sort of advances. (Either that or exploit them for in game loot ;)

An Australian man was arrested recently after he convinced a 15-year-old girl he met while playing World of WarCraft to run away from home to be with him. He even paid for the trip. How sweet.

The 31-year-old Anthony Taylor formed a relationship with the less-than-half-his-age girl, which eventually led to sexual messages and phone calls. The girl’s father found out about the relationship and threatened to kill Anthony, so Anthony did what any self-respecting pedophile would do — he sent her a plane ticket and some money to cover the cab fare.

Obviously, the girl’s father doesn’t let her go, so Anthony is met at the airport by police instead. They question him about the girl, at which time he admits he “thought the age could be a problem.” Really, you think?

Anthony is then brought before a judge, where we find out some interesting facts about his raiding past. Turns out he met his current real-life girlfriend online, though thankfully she’s 27, and he has fathered a child with yet another girl who happens to be under the age of 16.

Anthony pleads guilty to “child stealing” and is sentenced to, and I shit you not, a “seven-month non-custodial intensive corrections order”. I don’t know what that means, but it certainly doesn’t sound like enough.

With rulings such as this, it seems to me that Australia is now the place for lovers… of underage teens at least. Virginia will be confiscating your wallabies since you stole their motto, and hopefully some of that old-fashioned redneck justice makes it down under as well.

      Are you nuts? Pedos should be given no mercy or privacy. They should have 10 months in jail in a cell full of a bunch of guys so he would get violently ass raped every night by huge freaks. Then when he gets out he should have a chip implanted in him so whenever he enters a public area or becomes arroused, someone would know. Thats how it should be.

          Ooh, now that sounds fair there.

          It really does, I believe those who've been convicted and show no remorse or shadow of changing their behaviour . . . castrate them. That should be an incentive, and in the end if done, will pretty much change the man forever.

          Problem is . . . there are women pedos also.

    You know what's really screwed up? Had he been caught selling drugs to a fifteen year old girl, he probably would've got life. But since he was just, you know, trying to seduce her, seven months outta do it! *slams down the Gavel of Justice* The system is screwed up everywhere, apparently.

      I can't imagine he didn't run into any of that. Then again there's reason to fake like a 16 year old girl in a chat room. Not so much WoW. If you don't know what I mean go to a chatroom and claim to be a 15 year old girl. Play along for awhile, then type something along the lines of.

      I like how people are really pissed off about how long he got. 7 months in prison is pretty much hell, under any circumstances. However, even prisoners have ethics. I imagine a pedo in jail is nothing short of brutal. He'll be pretty lucky to survive it IMO.

        Very true on the "pretty lucky to survive it." They have to put those offenders who have a child-related offense in special protection many times because the other inmates most likely WILL try to outright kill them.

    There are a lot of airheads playing MMO's. Not everyone playing WoW is an airhead, but a high percentage are
