Everyone is probably still busy playing the singleplayer but if you've already experienced Metal Gear Online you'll be happy to know a new expansion pack in on the way featuring new characters (Meryl and Johnny) new stages (Mei Ling's ship, Heliport and Shadow Moses) and new rules (team scanning changes and the option for head shot only games).

According to translated Japanese gaming forums (citing information from the newest edition of Famitsu), the pack will retail for 1200 yen, with another option of a 1500-yen pack that gives you a new character slot. Both packs will feature Johnny and Meryl, the ability to make female characters, a new Survival Mode, and three fresh stages: Shadow Moses, Mei Ling's Ship, and the Heliport from the original Metal Gear Solid on the PS1. Furthermore, as of Friday, we can expect a couple new rules for MGO in general: Team Scanning (Teams will be broken up into Sneaking and Defending; the Sneaking team will be able to use the Stealth skill), and Head-Shot Only Kills, which of course will be an optional rule.
