Spyborgs to take Wii to its max, but no E3 appearance

bbb7002004 | July 03, 2008 | News | Wii E3 2008
Recently revealed Wii exclusive Spyborgs, the "Saturday Morning Cartoon" action adventure game from Bionic Studios and CAPCOM, is said to be a game that will push the Wii hardware to its limits. Touted by some as the next Zack and Wiki, it will be interesting to see if this game can live up to this aspiration, as well as gain acceptance from the core gamer. Unfortunately, we won't be seeing this at E3, as CAPCOM says that the game will "lie low for a bit."

Check out the Spyborgs Forum for more information.
Capcom has provided the Wii with ongoing, strong support and seems interested in continuing their pattern. Spyborgs is one of the latest titles that have been revealed by the company. The game did not receive a terribly warm reaction from the hardcore Wii crowd, though numerous Capcom representatives have expressed feelings of faith in the game. Based on recent words, Wii owners should begin to believe in Spyborgs too, as Spyborgs, according to Capcom's Christian Svensson, will max out the Wii and will make the most out of the Wii's power. Svensson explained,"Spyborgs will be that product. Wait and see." Also, on a slightly different note, Svensson gave the unfortunate news that Spyborgs won't have much of a presence at E3. "Captivate was the announcement with very little detail sharedÂ… it'll lie low for a bit until we're ready for a bigger reveal (similar to what we did with the Dark Void announcement last October with the bigger reveal at Captivate), so no E3 showing."

Aww, poo. I guess Capcom wants to focus on Resident Evil 5 for E3, but I wouldn't have minded seeing a bit more info on Spyborgs too.
