Well it looks like what Hideo was afraid of has happened.Casual gamers have won.I can't see to many hardcore gamers buying a freaking horse game lol.

But this IS the Japanese charts and we know how crazy Japanese gamers are lol.

Horse-sim games are actually decently popular in Japan. From what I hear, it isn't your little sister's Horsez. You have to manage them/race/etc.

I'm hoping you weren't serious, otherwise that post is just ridiculous. What does MGS's success have to do with the platform it's on? It's Japan.

I really think "Massive Drop" for MGS4 is definitely an overstatement. Kind of like the other title in which the Wii "annihilates PS3 sales!!!"

Article submitters are so immature sometimes.

And whiny shits who complain about the most insignificant things on Gamegrep are so *bleep*ing irritating.

Yes, the Wii's sales "annihilated" the PS3's in June. Nintendo didn't release any first-party games all month, and it still doubled the sales of the PS3, despite MGS4's release.
And yes, MGS4 had a massive drop in the charts. You'd think the PS3's biggest hitter would stay at the top for much longer - it's even being overtaken by games that have been out for months!

So stop nitpicking and shut up. I'm so sick of morons on Gamegrep bitching over the most idiotic things in articles (and submitters) on the site... especially when, in this case, it's coming from someone who doesn't even submit articles themselves. It's gotten to the point where some people don't even bother commenting/submitting certain articles because they'll get nothing but nitpicks and insults.

GG...wow. Explain to me what I did to be called a nitpicker and a moron? So I express my view on the title, big deal. Now all of a sudden I'm a moron. And what obligation is there to require me to submit an article just to have an opinion on them?

        Thanks, just thanks.

        ------

Well MGS4 sold about 1,000,000 globally on Day 1. People won't buy it twice, so obviously sales'll go down.

I just love the picture. It's a shame that MGS4 isn't selling too well, especially when more Japanese gamers have PS3s (some have Wiis, some have both).

Well, it IS a niche game; if you weren't into MGS to begin with, yo likely won't like MGS4. It's like reading the last book of a series before the others; why bother if you won't understand half of it?

Plus, this is Japan's stats only. And at least it's still IN the top 10.

Well some people may not be into MGS for the story, as crazy as that sounds. They may just like it for the gameplay, who knows. Heck, some people start with the latest and work their way down series (like DMC4, after playing that, new fans went to pick up and play 1,2, and 3...or just 1 and 3).

I don't know, I just thought that MGS was a big thing in Japan. :S
