Eric Lempel has confirmed that the PlayStation Home Open Beta is still on schedule for a fall launch this year. Lempel also mentioned that the open beta will be a fully functional version that will represent the final version.

I don't have any more specifics right now, but like Kaz [Hirai] said, it will go live [in the US] this summer and I think it will offer consumers everything they're looking for from us. It will offer everything they expect from us and probably a little bit more.

Hmm . . . Well maybe I'll try to get into the HOME Open Beta then! I figured I'd wait until whenever it would be released fully, but if that is the full version, I'll maybe try for it

Hopefully that means that the Open Beta will be short, and that the public release will be a month or two after....

    Fat chance though >_>

Home's already taking too long, but after the 2.40 Incident, they can take as long as they need.

Lol, Yes, that's what I've been telling a lot of people about HOME, for a long time. We don't want any incidents like what we recently saw. But, hopefully they're fixing things more and more. The testers currently in there, unfortunately aren't kept up to date on bug fixes and such that they report. They're somewhat in the dark and all. So hopefully . . .
