Want to know what XMB features you can access in-game using Firmware 2.40? XTREME PS3 have compiled a detailed list of features, complete with screenshots and a video.

PS3 Firmware was released on July 2nd 2008, but was taken down after reports of the update causing problems. Seeing as not everyone has managed to update their PS3, we've taken it upon ourselves to bring you a list of in-game XMB features you are (not) missing out on. As you may already know, you cannot access most parts of the XMB from within a game, so we have compiled a list of features you can access (see below), and included screenshots.

Could have sworn that I'd already seen this >_> Maybe it was an article that didn't get approved before??? In any case, I've already seen the page, though I haven't viewed the video yet *checks it out*

Hmmm, loads pretty fast, which surprised me a bit....When my system is starting up, or after I've exited a game, it can take some time (10+ seconds) to load some icons.

I wonder if you can now change some settings without having to quit the music you're playing? If they can do it in-game, one would think they could do it whilst doing something as simple as playing music....

And hmmm, a simple XMB button to turn off the system, a nice touch.

Still waiting on browser improvements though >_>

There is a similar article already on GameGrep, but it's not the same.

Only one Settings category is available in-game; Accessories. Everything else requires you to quit your game.

Your right, looks awesome and sounds awesome, until you get it and be slightly disappointed.
