Free DLC - it's not too common but when it comes down to the survival of a franchise you have to do what you have to do... And Harmonix could be doing just that with the possibility of the wholesale givaway of all of the first Rock Stars' song list.

The battle of the bands is heating up. If the current batch of rumours are true then Harmonix are not taking the news of Guitar Hero World Tour laying down and will be releasing their entire back catalogue of content as free DLC.

Yeah, not only will they get it for free, but they'll also be paying the same (I assume) for better instruments....

Basically, the message is the general rule with tech that basically says "Early adopters get screwed"....Now I wish I had waited to get RB2 -_-

    I guess it's a good thing that Aus/Eu haven't got RB.

That makes no economical sense at all.

It sounds more like the set list on the actual disc of the first game will be downloaded from a separate store for free.

"Rock Back" ftw! Hmmm, this really makes it hard for me to decide which to buy; RB2 or GH:WT. I already have the GH guitar so I was inclined towards World Tour up until now.

If your going to buy World Tour I would buy the new guitar anyways and keep the old one for a Bass Guitar.

Now that is awesome. Now I don't have to switch between discs whenever I wanna play "Enter Sandman" or "Welcome Home". Harmonix rocks!

Doubtful this will happen with Activision/Neversoft cause this is Guitar Hero's venture into the 'full band world'.

As much as it would be awesome if they re-did all the songs.

Hahaha Im glad I didn't buy the first rock band. They basically screwed all you guys who bought it over.

Not really. All the downloadable songs for RB2 will work for RB1. You just can't play the set list on the physical disc obviously.

Isn't it not free anymore? It's supposed to cost $5 to transfer the songs from the RB disc so they can be played with the updated gameplay of Rock Band 2.
