PSN maintenance=2.40 update?

At the official Playstation Community forums the mods have warned of a sever downtime this Wednesday and while I doubt any confirmation will ever come from them this could very well be connected to the re-implementation of the 2.40 update or a patch to help the update function.

Please be aware that there is planned PLAYSTATION®Network maintenance on:

Wednesday 07:00 - 13:00 BST.

During the maintenance, some users might be unable to sign in to PSN, whilst others who have previously signed in (before the maintenance has started) might suffer disconnections.

Yes, very likely.

Most likely, it would be firmware 2.41 though. People who already have the existing 2.4 update, while Sony says it is highly unlikely their system will screw up if they haven't already, would probably want to remove the risk anyhow >_>

Too bad I'm not there (going to be at my dad's for about two weeks >_>

2.41 will install the "fixed" version of 2.40, as well as anything they see fit to add to stabalize the system further.
