First Details on Metal Gear Online "Gene Expansion"

We have some new details on the Metal Gear Online "Gene Expansion". There are new maps and new playable characters from MGS4 (including Meryl Silverburgh and Johnny "Akiba").
There is also a new "Survival" mode and a Reward Shop that allows you to spend your in-game points on new gear.
Players can also make customizable female characters now.

    Maybe I missed (I don't think I did), but is it free? From the the lack of a prominent $ amount, it looks like it...

      word around the fountain is yes its free, take it lightly though

      there may be another expansion "gene PLUS" which contain some extras like an extra character slot and some more codec stuff

      which im hoping is true, cos i cant use my card on the MGOshop

    Sounds good. It would really be cool to have them re-do some locations from the older MGS games for maps in MGO. Hell, Shadow Moses is already in there. Can you imagine a deathmatch or a team stealth match in that blizzard?

    It's will cost money (it is an expansion after all) for at least some of the content. We might get the new game mode or shop for free however

    Damn.

    It was (atleast) rumored months before MGS4 came out that we'd possibly get to play as Raiden in an MGO Game mode....

    I wish they'd add something like that sometime soon...

    But the Meryl and Akiba additions are very nice
