BIG Final Fantasy VII News will be Announced Soon ...

Yet more news to get those remake rumors flying... Square Enix have revealed that a big Final Fantasy VII-related "surprise" will be announced soon.

Veteran Square Enix character designer Tetsuya Nomura has revealed to Dengeki magazine that they're prepping quite a doozy of an announcement right alongside the release of the Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children Complete movie.

According to translations, FF7ACC is pretty much done now and they're just about to announce the Japanese release date for that movie. And when they eventually do, they'll be dropping one Jenova Mother of a bomb. All sources point towards the upcoming DKΣ3713 event, or maybe even sooner, during E3.

    I would love a remake as I never played FFVII.It wasn't till I played a demo of VIII that I became interested in RPG's.

    FFVII remake on the PS3 would be my first guess. Although they could be all "Live action FFVII movie brought to you by the people who are making the DBZ movie, including the ridiculous looking hair!" or something.

    Whether it turns out to be the case or not....

    Wouldn't really mind one (Never finished FFVII myself), but I'm more concerned with XIII and Versus XIII coming out >_

    Really must be the only one besides Yumpster on the site who actually loves the FF7 compilation for what it is. Its unbelievable.

    Anyway this could be FF7 the original for PStore that would be interesting and good. My disc's are not Cooperating with me.

        True, I just want a new Blu-ray disc version for better graphics and voice acting really. That alone is worth $60 if everything else is intact.

          Only if you have the option to disable voice acting. Get the wrong voices and a remake of FF7 is down the shitter without a way to disable it.

          Avalith that idiotic at best. No one will ever be the perfect voice for any characters. Everyone see's the voice different in their head, which means we should just get rid of voice acting in games in general. Go back to millions of text.

          Seriously no option I love the people doing the voices now. I think they're really good.
          Hell I don't like the japanese voices for games, it just doesn't sound right. For animes its alright I guess, not my thing. I don't see how people like it for games.

    If the announcement isn't going to be a remake, I hope it's something incredibly lame. I mean the lamest thing ever. Like getting everybody all hyped up over a remake, then releasing a coloring book or something like that. That would be great.
