Details on new Wolfenstein title

chautemoc | July 12, 2008 | News | PC Playstation 3
Game Informer (via NeoGAF) has revealed a bunch of details on the new Wolfenstein game, which will be showing up on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Wonderfully, id (who've worked on most of the series) are listed as one of the devs.

* Takes place in WWII against Nazi's fully dabbling in the occult
* BJ (the hero) will also make use of supernatural powers.
* Game gives you a city in which the game takes place. Missions and quests take you through different parts. As you complete quests, more of the city opens up. Kind of a non-linear path.
* Set piece and randomly generated activity block your path.
* There is an AI resistance force that will assist you during the game at times. Think of the resistance forces in MGS4 I guess?
* You will also enter "The Shroud", an alternate reality version of the city. A dimension in which the Nazi's are drawing power from.

Sounds good to me. Definitely waiting to see how this turns out. I loved Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and if i read the article correctly, this is going to be a free-roamer, at least to some extent, which is great.

    Sounds interesting.

RTCW was good, I still regret trading that game in.

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory was great, I hope this lives up to my high expectations. I hope to see a demo happening sometime soon in the future !

As Coi Cki stated, this sounds like a free roamer which will be great.
