Fatal Frame IV will play like Resident Evil 4?

Gothic Girl | July 13, 2008 | News | Wii
In a recent Gamegrep article, Next-Gen previewed Fatal Frame IV detailing most of what we know about the game so far. But a small tidbit of new information regarding the gameplay is what stood out for fans of the series.
Apparently Fatal Frame IV will have similar controls and over-the-shoulder camera angles as Resident Evil 4, (which is a considerable change from the previous FF games which all had a fixed-camera and more traditional survival-horror controls). Is this the first sign of Suda 51's influence on changing the Fatal Frame series to attract a broader audience?

Zero on Wii handles in much the same way as Resident Evil 4, using the Nunchuk to move and the Remote to direct the camera, giving an over-the-shoulder perspective. You’re no Leon Kennedy, however, and as in previous Zero games your only form of defense against ghosts is to snap a picture of them, so sealing their soul into the celluloid.

That is definately a good thing. The fact that it will play well (and experienced players will be able to instantly get to know the controls) will help both new players get to grips with multiple games and help the more experienced gamers settler in quickly.
