With the recent announcement that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming to the XBOX360, it seems Square Enix are being bombarded with questions (and the obvious hate mail from Sony PS3 fan{boy's}).
To resolve this situation what are Square Enix doing? They're holding a press conference.

So, yeah! Final Fantasy XIII is coming to the Xbox 360. And now Square Enix is having a press conference, probably to explain how that went down. FFXIII producer Yoshinori Kitase is expected to be on hand as is Square Enix exec Shinji Hashimoto. Hit the jump for the liveblog.

The words of "Exclusive to PS3" after every Final Fantasy XIII trailer so far ?
Just video games, man. JUST VIDEO GAMES. Bear in mind, this is business, not a little festival of "hey, let's make everyone shit *bleep* happy!" When was the last time everybody won with something game related? Someone has to lose. Just buy the game. Simple as that.
They can't make their own, original *bleep*ing games? This is *bleep*ing bullshit.
If God of War 3 goes to the 360, I'm going to *bleep*ing shoot myself.
*bleep* Microsoft. *bleep* Square Enix. *bleep* Capcom, and all other companies putting their once exclusive to Playstation titles on the 360.

I'm probably over-readting, because this is a smart thing to do financially, but what about the fans? I don't even like Final Fantasy very much, and I'm still pretty pissed about this.

Get over it. With the release of the Final Fantasy series across every platform, I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. The only major downfall is in waiting a tiny bit longer; but let's face it... you know it was going to be delayed anyways.
On another note, it's kinda sad/hilarious to see so many getting so mad at Square-Enix for this. I mean, fans would rather see their favorite company lose money and struggle? Because that is the OTHER option. Granted, I would be upset too if I had purchased a PS3 JUST for a game that is no longer exclusive, but hear me out, people... the trend of going multi-platform has been happening for some time. It's the smart thing to do. You can't expect companies to maintain loyalty if it means losing money.
If KH3 does come out for the 360, I will be the happiest SoB here, tbh.
So frickin' much for Sony being the Home of the RPG.
Either way, it is good that they have done this but I will still to what I said about loyalty to Sony and Sony to them and just for that keep saying they shouldn't have done this because of that factor... and urmm well. The fans also.
It's kind of ironic for Squenix, who at one point said The PS3 Will Be the Dominant Console
It isn't like Square has been loyal to anyone from the start guys. They jump ship from one console to another whenever they feel they can make more money else where. I have been a huge Squaresoft fan for a long time. At one point I was literally buying every game with their logo on it even if it was something I wasn't overly interested in.
I even dropped Nintendo for Sony back in the day because of FF7. Like most gamers at the time. And I had never owned anything but a nintendo console at that point. Well, there was a Genesis in the house at one point but it was barely played. Point is it doesn't really matter. This won't kill the PS3. Nor is FF7 "the only good exclusive the system had". You're all being overly dramatic.
Oh wait lets wait for MGS4 to be ported to the 360 hell even God of War. Unlike some I know very well this means bad news. Very bad to the point of over for the PS3 and Sony. How many more exclusives do we have to lose?
You're really acting like a baby over this. It is just one game. Admittedly a fairly important one but just one. MGS4 has to many PS3 in jokes in it to be ported. It would be ridiculus. And GoW is a Sony owned IP.
Now, on a side not, MSG4 will never be on 360, I'm not just saying this to calm you down, I'm saying this because it has product placement UP THE ASS, which somewhat fails. :/
I can see the news now, thousands of gamers have committed mass suicide over the news that FF13 is no longer PS3 only.
So, since I will be getting a 360 in the near future, this will be a game I get and brag about to PS3 Idiots, er... I mean Fanboys.
In this day an age the only exclusives are first party ones, ok yes its a blow to us ps3 owners, but before you decide to sell your ps3's for 360s let me remind you of some of the brillant exclusive games released and up and coming for the ps3.
Warhawk, Uncharted, racthet, MGS4 (easily worth £300), resistance FOM and 2, motorstorm2, killzone 2, God of war III, Home (when it finally gets realesed), GT 5, LittleBigPlanet, WipeOut HD, socom confrontation, Pixel Junk eden, Super Stardust HD, Tekken 6 etc etc. And Muther *bleep*ing Blu ray i love that thing.
ok i take my hat of to microsoft on an excellent steal, but ps3 owners lets hear sony out its not the end of the world we got still plenty of exclusives.

The only people I can see with rights to complain are people saying that it will have to be "dumbed down" to fit onto a DVD-9, which is a fair complaint.
But to those saying "OMGZ END OF TEH PS3!!1"
One game, no matter how iconic it is =/= a console.
And for the record, I wasn't even planning on buying this to begin with
By the looks of it a lot of games are both PS3 and 360. but this was a big move i didn't even see coming...well no in a way after hearing 5 new (i think its 5) RPG's were going to 360 i thought maybe a new FF would of been made separately...boy maybe i shouldn't of thought of it...
