We've all seen the recent trailer for Mirror's Edge and, while it is beautiful to look at, the constantly switching camera-angles might give you Motion Sickness.
That's exactly what Kotaku's Brian Ashcraft felt while watching the demo at E3 ...

Mirror's Edge looks great. And the "first-person running-jumping-sliding-kicking-shooting" gameplay is certainly novel and different. This morning, I checked out the E3 build, which looked, well, great. But...while watching the dev show off the game, I seriously started to feel ill. Really, really ill. I've never gotten motion sick from a game, and I got it pretty bad while checking out Mirror's Edge. Like to the point of breaking out in a cold sweat and feeling rather green. Actually playing the game didn't make me as sick as watching — and playing it was fun. The controls are intuitive and tight, and the overall design is polished.

I think this is a given, i think this will come with a motion sickness warning just like Cloverfield did, anything that externally portrays what our eyes are doing and our body movements are doing exactly yet we aren't doing them is bound to *bleep* with senses. Doesn't affect me so i'm all good bring on launch day.

I always get worried when games have motion sickness warnings. I've only ever been "motion sick" from a game once - that was while playing Tetrisphere when I was about ten. I ended up almost throwing up, then fainting.
Worst. Feeling. Ever. tbh. (Definitely don't want to feel that ever again. >_>)
Weirdly enough, I still played that game and never felt sick again

Anyways, that's a totally random story. XD
I'll probably end up buying Mirror's Edge anyway.

I'm glad I'm not the sort to get motion sickness from a game (or worse, photosensitivity based epileptic seizures)....

They put the focus point in the middle of the screen and widened the viewing angle to combat this. I hope it's enough.

So would you suggest this game best be played in widescreen?
