EA CEO John Riccitiello confirmed that BioWare is working on a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game, and it would “certainly have a massively multiplayer online component to it.”

Riccitiello also states that the KOTOR MMO will “sidestep the consoles owned by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo,” presumably making it a PC exclusive.

Bioware are great at making RPGs but MMOs are a different beast altogether. I'm really curious to see how they handle it.

Big news, KoToR ftw! Not too keen on MMOs myself (only really played Guild Wars in the past), but hell a Star Wars twist would be interesting.

....that just ruins Kotor for me. It needs to stay single player and just have better story and slightly better gameplay if they make it into a mmo its just going to suck. At the the very least call it something else. And isn't their already a Star Wars MMO thats out. For now i'l sit back and watch this thing Epic Fail so bad it winds up it the $5 bin in a week.
Hopefully KOTOR 4 will be back to a single player experience. (yea same thing i posted on Neo)

Bioware is good at making single player games but Kotor for the most part is now going to lose some people by makin it a mmo and a pc only game. And Hopefully the next KOTOR will be a true KOTOR sequel.

MMO Star Wars? Yes please, I guess. It might be nice to have give a go, doubt I'd stick around for too long though.

I really would have preferred another rpg, maybe a return to Obsidian. This is just my personal opinion, after going to E3 and seeing everyone jump the MMO bandwagon (or the DS bandwagon), which gets rather old quickly.

Hmm... a KOTOR like StarWars MMO for the PC...

Can anyone say Star Wars Galaxies?

I'm going to give Bioware the benefit of the doubt. I've been dying to hear more of this since the initial rumors. The problem with SWG is that everyone wants to be a Jedi and the game isn't balanced to do so. In a Universe where there's thousands if not millions of Jedi (which Bioware already has designated different classes to Jedi with the first two games) there could be a better balance to it.
