While Metal Gear Solid 4 might have dropped low on the Japanese sales charts, it's still soaring high on the US charts. In just a month it has sold 774,600 copies, and that's apparently not including the bundle packs. Good job, Kojima!

1. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3) 774,600
2. Guitar Hero On Tour (DS) 422,300
3. Ninja Gaiden II (360) 372,700
3. Wii Fit (Wii) 372,700
5. Wii Play (Wii) 359,100
6. Battlefield Bad Company (360) 346,800
7. Mario Kart Wii (Wii) 322,400
8. LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (Wii) 294,500
9. LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (DS) 267,800
10. LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure (PS2) 260,300

Oh, and just a quick note re the MGS4 figure: those are for individual software sales only, not those included in the various bundle deals.

Considering people were concerned about it failing and that some horse trainer sim beat it in sales in Japan it is nice for some confirmation. I expect it'll be one of those classics anyone which anyone with a PS3 will pick up at some point. It is very good.

That's pretty impressive. I wonder how many they sold withthe bundle packs. But either way, its a good feat. I don't think a PS3 exclusive has reached MGS4's success.

Remember, they sold more special editions than standard copies in the initial days. The way MGS4 sold is far from normal.

I still wish they'd make MGS for Xbox 360... I know it'll never happen, but a guy can dream right?

That's only in the US. Globally, it's over one million easily.
