Fans of Portal may be disappointed with it's upcoming sequel Portal: Still Alive.
According to Valve's Doug Lombardi, the series's plot will not be extended or delved into. And despite GLaDOS promoting the game at E3, she won't be making an appearance in Still Alive. (An odd choice, considering the title of the game, no?)

Though judging by Lombardi's cryptic response, it seems we will see more of GLaDOS (and more plot) in a future title.

Speaking with Valve's Doug Lombardi earlier this week at E3, we got onto the topic of the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade version of Portal.

But will we be seeing more of GlaDOS this time around, or perhaps an extended storyline?

"No," he said, breaking hearts everywhere. "That's for a game to be named later perhaps."

And no one even mildly considered the possibility that a new villain could be in this one that's just as good or better than GLaDOS?

If anyone can top GlaDOS, it's Valve.

She promoted a Game that she wasn't going to be in? The Advertisement is a lie.

Don't worry! There will be other inanimate objects and voices with a bland sense of humor to fall in love with. Maybe a pole or a ball or something.
