GameFAQs member contemplates suicide over Final Fantasy XIII going multiplatform

Many Final Fantasy fans were distraught to hear that Final Fantasy XIII was going multiplatform. But for one GameFAQs member, the very idea may have pushed him over the edge. It is unknown if the post was a prank however he has since not logged on after posting a deranged suicide note on GameFAQs leading many to believe he may have actually taken his life.

The member "pie185" was soo affected by Square-Enix's choice that he posted a suicide note on the GameFAQs forum in which he told everyone what an affect the Final Fantasy series has had on his life. According to the rumor, the member has killed himself and hasn't logged in since. I haven't been able to find the post myself but our forum member Moklin, has a screenshot of it from YTMND.

    How in gods name was a that a suicide note? I didn't even see ONE mention of taking life or ending anything. The guy just seemed really bummed out that he wasted money on a ps3.

        Thats the title, and judging from the content of his post (where it was not brought up again), he talks about forging a future without FF, which someone about to kill them selves wouldn't do surely the title seems to be nothing but over exaggeration to get attention.

    So anyways, if it was just a prank...that dude is pretty twisted and is seemingly getting the attention he wanted. Kudos to you.

    If he did kill himself...why that selfish, moronic coward! Killing yourself over a game?! Well, if you're that passionate about games and pretty much disregard life as just something that lets you play games then good! I'm glad you killed yourself because you never woulda amounted to anything and never would have been a valuable member of society. So now we won't waste stuff on your sorry ass...like air...and food. But I'd sure feel for the family for having such a pathetic moron for a relative.

    It's amazing how weak minded people are. Someone killing themselves over a video game joining another console is humiliating. This kid should get a record for being the biggest baby in the world.

    Supposedly, according to some gamefaqs members he suffered from some disorder called "Aspergers."

    EDIT: Oh shit, just read the actual letter, he says he has the disorder himself. Disorder or none, it's pretty hilarious shit.

    Why would FFXIII going multiplatform even matter to him ? He likes Sony's consoles ? Fine. He should be happy with a PS3. What difference does releasing it on the Xbox 360 as well make ? It's not like it's going to be a Xbox 360 exclusive. Why would you cimmit suicide over that ? God, people these days.

    Wow, this is like the 4th suicide news i've heard in like close to 2 weeks. This kid is far to exaggerating in his title.
    I honestly doubt this is true, if it is then this kid is worse then fanboys.

    Geez, it's just a game. Besides, it's not like he'll never be able to play it on the PS3. It's just multiplatform, not a moved exclusive.

It's not like the series has ended (not that it's been that stellar over the past few years) or anything. Heck, it's not even going OFF the PS3.         basically the "shocking" annoncement is goingto be annonced with final fantasy 7 advent children complete on blu ray on the 2nd or 3rd of august.... but is it going to be good new?

    Some people are going to kill themselves over anything. I don't think it really matters what the thing is; if you have suicidal tendencies it could be anything at all. That being said I hope he didn't do it though, of course.
