A lot of people have were disappointed with E3 this year, even game publishers didn't like it! Edge Online thinks the problem with E3 is that it's trying to be too many things (social event, etc) and they give their opinion on what needs to be done to E3 so that it stays alive.

The trouble with E3, is that it’s trying to be too many things, and isn’t much good at any of them. It’s a product showcase, a media circus, a business and trading forum, a social event, a debate. But it’s also none of those things.

So what function does E3 actually serve? We list the dubious benefits of E3, and how they might be generated in different, better ways.

      E3 is to video game conferences what Halo 3 is to video games.

      Both not the best but still fairly decent. And it's the height of coolness to take random shots at them.

      Haha, that's true, the conferences were pretty interesting, got to see some nice footage of upcoming games. Still, it's true that this E3 isn't at it's best anymore. It needs to go back a few years where there weren't so many restrictions and such.

    If there was no Nintendo, E3 would of been awesome. GameGrep did nothing but point out Ninty's shitiness, I don't know anything about new IP's, if there even were any...
