Announced during E3 2008, WiiMotionPlus allows you to have more control in a game; any move you make with your hand will affect the game.

Game Informer recently interviewed third-party devs about the WiiMotionPlus; they feel annoyed and betrayed by the device. None of them knew about it until E3, along with everyone else; as a result no games will be able to support it for six to nine months.

Your first chance to snag this control-enhancing device will be in a bundle. The bundle will contain a copy of Wii Sports Resort and the WiiMotionPlus.

One of Nintendo’s reveals at last week’s E3 was a new peripheral, the Wii MotionPlus. The gizmo, which snaps onto the base of the system’s remote, promises to give users more precise levels of control in games. The attachment will be bundled with the upcoming Wii Sports Resort, which also serves as a showcase of sorts for the peripheral. For example, players will be able to compete in a fencing-by-way-of-American-Gladiators duel, and their sword attacks and blocks are accurately rendered on screen. Another game has players hold the remote and nunchuk like a Jet Ski’s handlebars, and they get to drive through rings in the ocean.

You know, I always knew that Nintendo loved to do shit on their own with the whole "*bleep* you, we're working on Mario here" attitude but I could never really convince myself. This is good enough for me.

I hope that when this does come out that games that support this will have something on the box itself letting people know they need this thing in order to play it, like how they have the icons for what controllers the game supports. I know I would be annoyed if I bought a new $50 game only to find out that I couldnt play it without this thing. And judging from the article, you will be able to use the nunchuk I guess?

I kinda feel bad for the developers for the Wii, they might feel they need to hastily include this feature in their games so they'll tack it on last minute. And as if they don't have enough pressure as it is, with all the gamers wanting the hardcore games for the Wii which accidentaly bring high standards for the games, the hasty add of the WiiMotionPlus would get all the gamers fired up and the developers cautious of using it to its full potential.

This just adds to Nintendo's full-of-itself ego, saying "who cares about your games, as long as we have the best resources for ours."

Oh please, it's not like the majority of developers managed to implement the simpler version of this before, decently I mean.

Is it just a little thing to plug into the Wiimote to make the motion sensing alot more sharp?

It helps to immerse the player into the game a little bit further by copying the motion of the player to a near, if not complete, perfect motion so say you do your own style of sword fighting and they added the feature to a legend of zelda or star wars game then you could fight your own way without it making move close to your swing meaning you could have a lot of fun.

So does this mean absolutely no third party developers heard about this and started making games with it?

probably however I doubt developers would of actually put the feature in if they knew about it. So the developers are making a big deal out of nothing.
