And will this make 360 owners question why they have to pay?
    Yes.

Probably, but they'll always have to. Microsoft has a monopoly on Xbox multiplayer- PC gamers generally laugh at the thought of having to pay for services like this, and I myself would never in a million years consider buying a game, unless it was an MMO with dedicated persistent servers, that made me buy a subscription such as "Live Gold Account" to play online. What's normal to you console people is laughable to the rest of us, and I'm glad that Microsoft realised this- I may consider some of these games now.

But yeah, Microsoft doesn't have to worry about competition on the Xbox the same way they do on the PC.

So I can play Rainbow Six: Vegas without having to pay anymore? Sweet. No longer will my buddies and I all have to cram into one dorm to LAN, we can finally stay in our own rooms and play.
