In being interviewed by Eurogamer, Fable creator Peter Molyneux revealed his appreciation of the MMO world, and that he's thought about making one himself. Will Fable III fit into this? Will there be a Fable III? Much hmming and hawing here.

When asked if his thoughts have been on MMOs recently, Fable 2's outspoken creative director gestured to his PR minder and said "Well, there's someone in this room to make sure that I don't say too much about that question.

"I have been looking at MMOs," he added. "I love the interaction, and I'm fascinated by the idea of really feeling secure and cool enough to actually do it."

When asked specifically if he had thought about making an MMO and about what a Lionhead MMO would look like, he said "Yes", but wouldn't be drawn any further.

Molyneux's careful non-confirmation comes to light days after the veteran developer told an audience at E3 that Fable 2 is finished.

The ambitious Xbox 360 action-RPG was one of the key games at Microsoft's E3 press conference, where Molyneux revealed that it would allow players to observe the position of friends and other Xbox Live players in their respective single-player campaigns and invite them to co-operate.
