While the list is just a rumor, a potential Guitar Hero: World Tour tracklist was revealed that showed musicians from Weezer to Ozzy Osbourne to Megadeth to the great Jimi Hendrix.

A rumoured track-listing for Guitar Hero IV: World Tour has appeared online thanks to GoNintendo. They claim that the list which appears below for you is set to be the real thing and should be confirmed within a matter of days.

Whether or not we trust a Nintendo blog as a source, remains to be seen, but someone either has too much time on there hands or has a vast knowledge of rock music suitable for the game.

I'm really loving that track list. I really hope that's the final list.

DAMN, DAMN, DAMN, I was hoping that I'd just pick Rock Band and be done with it. This set list is awesome though, I love "Nottingham Lace" by Buckethead. Can't believe they put Joe Satriani in there.

I really hope this is true.

Why the shit did Kerry King do something with the Beastie Boys 0_o

Wow. If this is the set list, I'm getting this game over Rock Band 2, no question. I'll still hopefully get RB2 as well, but this one wins. Santeria, Take it on the Run, The Kids Aren't Alright, Purple Haze!? This would be a *bleep*ing amazing setlist.

Encore: "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers
Encore: "Paradise City" by Guns N' Roses
"I Don't wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith
Encore: "Bleed it Out" by Linkin Park

SOLD, Although I would have prefered another linkin park song like No more sorrow(Damn that would have worked so well with Guitar hero)

    TOOL!

Lateralus and Schism are incredible songs, especially Lateralus, it's epic to play it with a band.

Ah! A new, never-before-heard Guns N' Roses song in Rock Band II (Shackler's Revenge), or one of the best hard-rocking Guns N' Roses tracks of all-time in Guitar Hero III (Paradise City). Man, that's difficult to choose.

Have to say though, that track-listing on the whole isn't great. Reminds me of GHIII in many ways - some awesome tracks near the end, but the beginning and middle are predictably average.

What? only 3 songs a set? hrmmm...that makes me wonder. But then again, this is a rumor, so unless I see it on the official website or something I'm not getting my hopes up, but the possibility of

    Paradise City
    Dammit
    Dont Fear the Reaper
    Runaway
    Crazy Train

being on it makes me happy

Three songs by Tool all in the same tier makes this seem fake to me.

That setlist caught 'rock band 2 itis', awesome bands with questionable song choices.

Also, lack of good new metal irritates me (Children of Bodom, Trivium and the rest).

Doesn't suprise me that its false, nor am I sad about it.

Yeah, they would be awesome. But they scream too much, it'd never work with vocals, as well as drums being insanely hard.

      Downloadable they'd be great though.

I also noticed that two of the tiers don't have an Encore. I read somewhere though that the guy who leaked this list leaked the one for GH3 as well, and it ended up being correct.
