Nintendo have been getting a lot of flack about some issues with the Wii, a notable one being the lack of storage space which quickly becomes an issue if you download any large amount of items from the Virtual Console or WiiWare. Up until now Nintendo has ignored the problem, one annoying executive in particular even saying that only nerds and Otaku need more space than the Wii can provide.
But it appears they've finally realized just how much this attitude could hurt them and have announced that they are working on a solution to fix the problem. Just what form this solution will take is yet to be seen.
Nintendo has stated they are"working to find a solution" for those gamers who are running out of storage space on the Wii console. Many gamers both casual and hardcore have complained after downloading a number of Virtual Console and WiiWare titles that they are struggling to find space to store them.
"We have a consumer base who loves Virtual Console. We have a user-base who really is enjoying WiiWare content. So for us really our challenge really is how do we satisfy all these consumers who are loving all of the product we make available on a download basis?" said Reggie Fils-Aime, the boss of Nintendo of America who was speaking to MTV Multiplayer.
