The latest game in developer tri-Ace's vaunted Valkyrie Profile series, Valkyrie Profile: Toga wo Seou Mono (Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One) for the Nintendo DS, will release October 2 2008 in Japan.

The protagonist is a young soldier, Wylfred, who harbors a hatred for the Valkyries, who took the soul of his father. To seek revenge against the gods, he accepted power from Hel, the Queen of Niflheim, in the form of a black magic feather. While not too much is known about the title, the game will retain some version of the series' signature battle system, where each character in battle is assigned to one of the face buttons, which can lead to combos when attacks are timed correctly.
