Don't expect Splinter Cell until 2009-2010.

NSX | July 24, 2008 | News | Playstation 3 Wii
While the newest Splinter Cell wasn't at E3, it's just undergoing changes in the game. Also mentioned, the voice of Sam Fisher, Michael Ironside, will not return as the voice.
When Ubisoft didn't show Splinter Cell: Conviction at its last event, people worried a little about how the game might be doing. Fear not — the game's doing great. So great, they say, that Ubisoft just decided it'd be better off releasing it as part of its "2009-2010" lineup instead of in this year's fiscal fourth quarter. You know, to "bolster" next year, as the company said in its fiscal first quarter results statement.

Christian Bale got arrested for assaulting his mom and sister or something interesting like that.

He is 'The Batman'..... But on a serious note, all batman movies in the future are screwed.

Well, this is getting a bit off-topic, but no they aren't, not necessarily.

A trial hasn't even begun yet, it's not a definite thing he'll go to jail. Even when he was arrested, he was only held in custody for four hours and then released.

Besides, I'm sure a better Batman could be found, if anything.

Im talking about no more Heath Ledger, sorry I didn't explain why the Batman franchise is screwed. Heath Ledger's Joker is probably one of the best roles I've seen a person do, they wouldn't be able to cast someone else to do it. Also what villain are they planning on using for the next film, I thought it was going to be Two Face, I didn't think he would be so big in The Dark Knight.

The penguin? They could use him. Or maybe introduce Robin too.

The penguin could work I guess but could he fit the tone of how Nolan does these movies? I figured Riddler would probably be a good match, as long as Jim Carrey isn't playing him.

You guys are both morons. Batman and Splinter Cell have nothing in common, unless you focus on stealth mechanics they both used so shut the hell up and stick to the topic.

Anyway, I've never been a big fan of this series, but they used to put one out every few years. I remember the last one being either last year or 06 or something, so I bet they're making the new one to be better than the last few.

lol, I only brough it up in a joke. Get over it, and don't tell people to shutup on a website. It's pointless. You could just not read what we say if you've got a problem with it.

It's like going to another country for a ham sandwhich and complaining about slow service. You don't have to be here, eating our ham sandwhiches

        lol

I thumbed you up, though, because I'm a nice guy, like Batman.

Your conversation is what was pointless. And if it was a joke why'd you continue with it? You've said one word about the topic at hand, so better start doing something about that.

I stopped with this series after I tried out Pandora Tomorrow. Bit too difficult for me, but then again, I never had any idea what to do in Clancy games.

yea, Heath Ledger was *bleep*ing awesome in the new Batman, but he died right in the middle of another movie he was in, a main character as well, how are they gonna be able to replace him? they're not, they are gonna have to start the whole movie over.
anyway, if you remember, at the end of the movie, Two-Face died.
they kinda got the Two-Face story wrong, in the comics, his left side of his face got acid spilled on it, not burnt on fire.
but anyway, i can't believe i have to wait another year for Slinter Cell 5!
    UGH!
well it better be good, have nice pretty graphics and a good long story line. oh, and fix the controls.

I think in Frank Miller's comic 'The Dark Knight' he gets burnt instead of getting the acid. And I think they were kind of following what Miller wrote.

I'd be more interested in buying this Splinter Cell if it didn't come off as a run around the park like a hobo game.

Well this next Splinter Cell is supposed to add a little bit of Hitman-ish or a Bourne movie feel. Since it's a new thing, I guess it takes some extra time to polish.

The two games I got this damn 360 for, Alan Wake and Splinter Cell, are both chillin in purgatory. I sold everything else I had and the only game I'm looking forward to for a good while is Fable 2. I've actually thought about selling my whole system. I don't know if I care anymore.

After playing MGS4, I don't know if the Splinter Cell series will ever appear as anything more than a cheap imitation to me. MGS4 perfected stealth gameplay.

Agreed. I think this is also why we can't expect a Splinter Cell this year.

Splinter Cell is a better stealth game then MGS. MGS has way too much action as a stealth game. It's great, don't get me wrong. Splinter Cell just does stealth better though.

I hope someone can step in and fill in for Michael Ironside he was great as Sam.
